Trade Tasting at the Residence of the High Commissioner of South Africa
Join us for an exclusive trade wine tasting at the High Commissioner of South Africa's residence on Wednesday, April 30th from 1pm-4pm. This event is a prime opportunity for industry professionals to network and explore the diversity of South African wines, celebrating the centennial of Pinotage.
Attendees will enjoy a curated selection of premium Cap Classique, Chenin Blanc and Pinotage from high quality growing regions across the Western Cape, as well as authentic South African hors d'oeuvres prepared by a local chef.
Spaces are limited. To join our wait list, please fill out the form below and we will get back to you. A credit card number is required to hold your place, but you will not be charged. There is a no-show fee of $50 per person if you fail to show up on the day of the event, or cancel within less than 48 hours.

Attendees will savour indigenous grape varieties and learn about the history and wine making traditions guided by knowledgeable sommeliers. This event will take place at the residence of the Ambassador of Austria on December 3rd, 2024 from 12pm-2:30pm. This is a seated event with limited ticket availability. Attendees must be 19 years or older. This event is presented by SommWise Inc. in collaboration with the Embassy of Austria in Canada, Advantage Austria, Austrian Wine & ReFocus Austria. Quite the Mouthful:
The Language of Food & Wine Pairing
SommWise Inc. is hosting a demo show at Crave Food & Wine Festival at 5pm on Saturday, November 16th called 'Quite the Mouthful: The Language of Food and Wine Pairing'. This demo will take place in the CrEATe Kitchen on the first floor of the Rogers Centre (55 Colonel By Drive). Over the course of 45 minutes, we will explore four structural components of wine and how to pair them with food. The ticket cost of $24 includes four wine samples as well as a few small snacks. Please note that ticket holders must have a valid ticket to Crave in order to attend, and must be 19 years or older. This is an introductory level event suitable for everyone, we hope to see you there!

Join us for an exclusive tasting presentation exploring the viticultural heritage of Croatia, Georgia, and Hungary, featuring rare wines from the cellars of the embassies. Attendees will savour unique grape varieties and learn about the history and wine making traditions of each country guided by knowledgeable sommeliers. Discover the diverse profiles of indigenous grapes in the birthplace of wine. This event will take place at the Embassy of Croatia at 229 Chapel St. on October 2nd, 2024 from 12pm-3:30pm. This is a seated event with limited ticket availability. Attendees must be 19 years or older.
